Nvidia shares soar as AI-fueled earnings beat powers bullish outlook

Nvidia Corp. shares rallied after the AI-chip bellwether smashed Wall Street’s third-quarter projections and signalled another record period ahead, easing fears that the sector’s breakneck growth is fading.

The stock rose more than 4% in late trading as investors cheered both the headline numbers and a guidance range that exceeded expectations.

Earnings per share came in at 1.301.30 on revenue of $57.0157.01 billion, topping analyst estimates for EPS of 1.261.26 on $55.255.2 billion in sales.

That marked a sharp jump from the same quarter a year earlier, when Nvidia reported EPS of 0.810.81 on revenue of $35.135.1 billion, highlighting how quickly AI spending has transformed the company’s profile.

Nvidia outlook in focus

The market’s focus quickly shifted to the outlook, which proved even more bullish.

Nvidia projected fourth-quarter revenue of $6,565 billion, plus or minus 2%, comfortably ahead of Wall Street’s $6,262 billion consensus.

The guidance suggested that hyperscale and enterprise customers are still ramping up AI infrastructure budgets despite broader concerns about tech capital spending.

Nvidia’s data centre division once again did the heavy lifting, generating $51.251.2 billion in revenue versus expectations of $49.349.3 billion as demand for AI accelerators remained intense.

Gaming revenue came in at $4.34.3 billion, slightly below the $ 4.44.4 billion estimate, signalling that traditional graphics demand is solid but no longer the main growth engine.

Management highlighted rapid adoption of its latest high-end platforms as a key driver of the beat and raised outlook.

Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said the company’s Blackwell Ultra architecture has already become the leading platform across customer categories, while the prior Blackwell generation continues to see strong orders.

That product momentum helped convince investors that Nvidia’s pricing power and competitive edge in AI silicon remain intact, justifying the post-earnings stock surge.
