Michael Cohen admits to inadvertently citing fake cases generated by AI in legal motion

In a statement released on Wednesday, Michael Cohen admitted to inadvertently citing fake cases generated by an artificial intelligence system in a legal motion he had filed in support of a client’s case. Cohen, who was facing an ethics inquiry over the incident, apologized for the mistake and said he had taken steps to ensure that it would not happen again. He added that he had hired a legal technology team to assess and evaluate all current and future documents produced by AI systems.
