Starbucks unveils plan to add 17,000 locations by 2030
Starbucks has unveiled a plan to add 17,000 new locations around the world by 2030, with a focus on developing markets such as China, India, Central and South America and South East Asia. Starbucks plans to increase its presence significantly in locations including India, Mexico, the Philippines, Colombia, Thailand, China, Vietnam and Indonesia. The company will also increase its investments in delivery, digital and technology capabilities in these areas to equip its stores with the capabilities needed to serve customers in a modern, digitally-enabled environment. Starbucks hopes to achieve these goals by leveraging the collective capabilities of its experienced leadership team and by investing in employee training and development in emerging markets.
